As a Colombian-Australian counsellor with lived experience of migration, cultural identity, and navigating systems across three continents, Jen brings both clinical expertise and genuine human understanding to every session. Sessions available in English, Spanish and French.

I'm Jennifer — a PACFA member counsellor and public health professional with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through some of life's most challenging moments.

How long is each session? +
Individual counselling sessions run for 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to go deep — not just skim the surface. Workplace workshops and consulting engagements are tailored to your organisation's needs and can range from 90-minute sessions to full-day formats.
Do you offer online sessions? +
Yes — all sessions are available online via secure, encrypted video call, so you can connect from anywhere in Australia. Whether you're in Brisbane, another city, or even regional areas, support is just a click away. In-person sessions are available in Brisbane for those who prefer to meet face to face.
Can I book sessions in Spanish or French? +
Absolutely. Sessions are available in English, Spanish (Español), and French (Français). Being able to express yourself in your first language makes a real difference — especially when talking about emotions, identity, and personal experiences. You don't need to translate yourself to be understood here.
How much does a session cost? +
Session fees are shared at the time of booking. A free 15-minute discovery call is available so you can ask questions and get a feel for whether it's the right fit — with no pressure and no commitment required. Fees are reviewed periodically and communicated with reasonable notice.
Is everything I share confidential? +
Yes — everything you share is held in strict confidence. As a PACFA member counsellor, Jen is bound by a professional Code of Ethics that protects your privacy. There are very limited exceptions to confidentiality (such as risk of serious harm or a court order), and these are always explained clearly at the start of the therapeutic relationship.
How do I know if counselling is right for me? +
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or like something just isn't right — counselling might be exactly what you need. You don't have to be in crisis to reach out. Many people start counselling simply because they want more clarity, support through a life transition, or a space to process things they've been carrying alone. The free discovery call is a great low-pressure way to find out.
What happens in the first session? +
The first session is a relaxed chance to get to know each other. Jen will ask about what's brought you to counselling, a little about your background, and what you're hoping to get from the process. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with — you set the pace. Together you'll start to map out what support might look like going forward.
Do you work with organisations and workplaces? +
Yes. Natural Zen Counselling works with organisations to support team wellbeing through burnout prevention workshops, stress management sessions, and culturally inclusive wellbeing programs. These can be delivered as one-off events or as part of an ongoing workplace wellbeing strategy. Get in touch to discuss what your organisation needs.
